lcsmwiley
I've had BitTorrent for a while - and it's not something I actually noticed before because I used to leave the program open on full screen and never minimized it. Well the odd thing is, when I minimize it, my download speed seems to go faster, but when I max it from the system tray area, the speed drops again. I've had drop all the way down to something ludicrous like 1.5kb/s, but when I minimize it, it goes almost through the roof even on low seed feeds. At the moment it's going at about 90.0kb/s - the only reason I know is because I just maximised it and minimized it as soon as possible after that - as it started to drop the speed of the download...like what the hell is the problem!?Is it because I'm using Windows 7? I've altered the firewall so I know that's not the problem - and the computer I'm using is brand spanking new - so I doubt it's a hardware fault (if anyone so much as sneezed on the monitor I'd get mad!). Any ideas? I've read all the stuff I have the patience to read (which is plenty but time is short), and nothing seems to point me out in the right direction...Thanks for any guidance on this issue. Switeck
Some obscure networking drivers or network-related program running in the background is my guess...1st link in my signature, very last part of the last post.Process Explorer DLL list for utorrent.exe -- I don't know what I'm looking for, except that it's almost certainly something *NOT* made by Microsoft!
