Haumea
I posted here, since the program is actually working, just not seeding/leeching, at all. I had Utorrent 1.8.3, and everything was working without issue. With the recent release of 2.0, an online community I am part of removed 1.8.3 from what they call their 'whitelist', and added 2.0. I'd had to update to continue to access their trackers. I did this, however, as soon as I did, I was unable to connect to any trackers(even tried that Open office torrent from the faq, and got nothing). The only thing I have been able to think of, is that somehow, the updating of version has triggered my router to block the ports? To test this, I completely uninstalled Utorrent, and installed 1.8.5(the earliest version on the communities' 'whitelist'). I hoped this would fix the issue, but it did not. On the Open office torrent it lists DHT's status as 'waiting for announcement', yet the tracker states either 'offline(timed out)', or 'this tracker has not been succesful since the target machine has actively blocked communication', or something along those lines. I checked my computer's firewall, and utorrent, and the udp/tcp items are allowed through. I rebooted the modem, nothing has helped thus far. I have searched this forum, and especially the Faq section, but have found nothing that has helped. I'm in no way very good with this sort of thing. Is there anyone who is able to help me, or at least point me in the right direction.
DreadWingKnight
What software firewall are you using?
Haumea
As far as I know the only one I have is the window's firewall. I don't have norton, or other anti-virus program based firewalls.
DreadWingKnight
Considering the current status of the openoffice trackers, the problem lies somewhere on your system.
Haumea
Well that would at least narrow it down a bit.Do you know of anything that I could try to either identify or fix whatever the issue is?
DreadWingKnight
Have you removed and re-added the rules for uTorrent in the windows firewall after changing versions?
Haumea
Yes. I tried that a few hours ago.

DreadWingKnight
Have you checked in windows defender as well?
Haumea
I just checked it. Utorrent is set to 'permitted', in the file explorer. I couldn't find any kind of firewall in Defender, if that's what you wanted me to check, sorry.
VayKool
I have the exact same problem. It's not just the utorrent that's not working. I tried different torrent programs to see if there is something wrong with the utorrent settings but it was the same with other programs. May be you should try some totally different software and see if the same thing is happening with other programs or is it just this software. In addition to this sometimes if it does work it has a graphy like up and down up and down. At one moment it would be running at 150 and the other not even 1 (most of the times its not downloading or is close to 1).
Haumea
Ok, after not working for over 2 days, it has just started working again. Still no idea why it wasn't, but, thanks for all the help. It really helped me remain calm over it all.
