A hanging issue

µTorrent keeps hanging and then unhanging constantly. Doesn't crash, though. The problem first presented itself with version 1.8.5 and persists with v2.0. I have 32-bit Windows XP Service Pack 3.

I don't know if I can re-install it if I uninstall, since I'm allowed to put it on three computers and it's already on three.

But I closed it and allowed all web traffic which seems to have fixed the issue. At least µTorrent hasn't logged any hang reports in the 30 minutes since then. Though since that leaves the computer unprotected it's really not much of a solution.

So I wonder, could either program be configured so they don't interfere?

And turning F-secure back on made it hang again right away.

f-secure would need to have the configuration changed, and I'm not sure what components are causing the problem.

You should have to set the F-Secrure module about web traffic. Look at their boards.

Well, nothing I can find seems to work. Except uninstalling µTorrent, restarting the computer and then reinstalling it. Then it'll work until the next time I shut down the system. And then it's back to hanging again. Weird.

And with F-secure uninstalled? Try another AV/FW.

I was having the same problem, did some searching and on like page 10 of google search results I found this and it worked for me. LSPFIX.exe is the name of the program.
