bearonthejob
Maybe the functionality of this has changed, but I am unable to get my RSS feeds to download correctly. Here are the steps I have taken to setup a feed:1.) Right-click "All Feeds" in left panel and select "Add RSS Feed...".2.) Add the feed URL, and leave the "Do not automatically download all items" option checked.3.) Right-click the new feed available in left panel and select "RSS Downloader".4.) In the RSS Downloader dialog, click the "Add" button under the "Favorites" list.5.) Enter a new name for the filter, add my wildcard text to the "Filter" field, add a directory to the "Save in" field, choose the new feed I just created in the "Feed" field, and check the "Smart ep. filter" option.6.) Close the dialog, right-click on the new feed and select "Update Feed".As soon as I created the feed in step 2, the list in the right panel is populated with RSS items from it. None of them started downloading at that point because I left the "Do not..." option checked in step 2. I did this because if I had selected the "Automatically download all items published in feed" option, the RSS items would have started downloading immediately, before I have a chance to setup filter options (especially the download location option). After I close the RSS Downloader dialog though, it falls apart. All the items in the list have the little orange RSS icons next to them, and it seems that randomly, some items in the feed with start downloading automatically. The items are all organized by episode properly, but the downloader just seems to pick random episodes and downloads them, not the most recent ones or oldest ones. After those items finish downloading, no more items are downloaded automatically. If I right-click an item and tell it to Download manually, then it starts downloading, but does not follow the filter rules for download location (a bug imo). Instead, it goes to the default directory I have configured in the uTorrent preferences.Am I doing something wrong here? How do I add a feed, set a filter for it, and have it download automatically? Do I have to select the "Automatically download..." option when creating the feed, then cancel all downloads it starts (because I haven't setup filters yet), setup filters and download location, clear feed history, then update it again? Seems like the workflow is messed up somewhere...
rafi
I have it working properly here (XP) . If I right-click an item and tell it to Download manually, then it starts downloading, but does not follow the filter rules for download location (a bug imo). Instead, it goes to the default directory I have configured in the uTorrent preferences. This was always the designed operationMy guess is that one of your old filters if scanning the new feed and causes the downloads to start.Disable all filters and retry.
