galapogos
Hi,I've noticed that when utorrent is open(especially when it has just started up, for instance when windows starts up and starts utorrent up), other programs become unresponsive. For instance, when utorrent is open and I try to open an Firefox or Thunderbird, it will load into memory a certain size and then freeze there. The size loaded seems to be the same everytime. If I close utorrent and try again half a minute later Firefox and Thunderbird will load properly. Also when I start utorrent, my internet connection seems to grind to a halt. This also seems to happen when I add new torrents into utorrent.

Firon
Raises the half-open TCP connection limit on Windows XP, which may very well be the cause of this issue...Also, you got anything on this list? http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software
galapogos
Thanks.I have Kerio Personal Firewall which is on the list, but I can't seem to find the settings menu for the fix described, so perhaps it's refering to a newer version (I have the older version 2.15). I also don't experience 100% CPU utilization(at least not in task manager) as described in the list. I also have Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 but that's not on the list.I'll try the patch and see how that goes. Thanks.
