Crashes on startup on PPC

Hi,

I'd love to try uTorrent after all the praise it gets, but I can't. It crashes on startup every single time I try to run it on my PowerBook running OS X 10.5.8.

Try redownloading the app and clearing your preferences. Looks like a crash when trying to update (since Sparkle is mentioned).

I have the same problem, uTorrent 0.9.2 beta build 17267, 10.5.8 on a 1.6GHz G5. It doesn't even get to the point where it creates a file in ~/Library/Preferences, but does create a uTorrent folder in ~/Library/Application Support, with settings.dat and an empty settings.dat.old. Leaving said folder there or deleting it makes no difference, it still crashes every time I try and launch it.

0.9.3 alpha launches, but I'm wary of using it until it's a bit more stable.

There are no more planned releases for 0.9.2, so your choices are basically to use 0.9.3 or wait until it hits beta. We'll hopefully hit beta status sometime in March.

As much as the other clients irritate me, I guess I'll have to stick with something else until 0.9.3 is a bit more stable; the alpha's already crashed 3 times in 10 minutes, just adding/removing torrents.

There are several crash issues that have been fixed since we last made a 0.9.3, so the next one should hopefully be a lot more stable for you.
