Switeck Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Broken-by-design router by the sound of it.Disable Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI - also known as hardware firewall) in the router. It's too paranoid for its own good.
adhoc Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 I take it that means you think I can safely ignore these error messages as they are erroneous? Thanks for getting back to me.
Firon Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Basically. You'll probably get better performance out of the router if you turn off its attack detection features, considering it doesn't really -do- anything.
adhoc Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 Would rather not turn off the router firewall.. You can never be too paranoid on the web.Disabled DHT in UTorrent and the problem has stopped.
DreadWingKnight Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Would rather not turn off the router firewall.. You can never be too paranoid on the web.Actually, you can. the NAT system of a router absorbs the traffic using less router resources than the router's secondary firewall.
