StoicJester
I want to splice together two tstatus sets I have by cutting and pasting part of one into the other. Can someone tell me software I can use to do this? I don't need anything complicated or anything, just need to be able to put these together without losing the transparency. Ultima
I guess you can use MSPaint, then follow Determination's instructions...http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=54441#p54441
Determination
depends on the transparency type.If it's Pink (color replacement, ala GIF), you can just maintain that in MS Paint or Paint.NET.If it's a 32-bit alpha-blended BMP, it's a bit more complicated. It would probably require more advanced Photoshop knownledge.
StoicJester
it's an alpha-blended bmp, and as a side note i've tried ms paint with miserable results.
StoicJester
i appear to have succeeded. i converted the bitmaps to pngs using alphaconv, used the gimp to transfer what i needed from one tstatus to another, saved, and then converted back to bitmaps with alphaconv. i felt very noobish the entire time and i'm sure there was an easier way. afterward i put it in µTorrent and transparency and such appears to have been conserved. however, the parts i changed were the icons for tracker errors when downloading and uploading, so i have to find a torrent that's messed up before i can truly know. figures. :/
Determination
open a torrent's properties and change the tracker URL to something bad. Watch, revert, enjoy.
