adem0x
With some torrents, it's name automagically changes into some foreign name.I have no idea why/how this is happening, but I would very much like to be able to stop it as it's incredibly annoying to figure out what it was I was downloading. If anyone knows how it can be stopped, I'd appreciate a brief description. If not, this is a feature request I hope the developers will find it worth to implement. Firon
The name is stored in the .torrent when it was first created.
adem0x
Yes, but when both the displayed name and that on the disk is changes to something in another language and script, how am I supposed tell which torrent file contains the correct name?IOW, I have no way to identify the associated .torrent file.Or, is there a way I don't know? Ultima
I guess you don't have an automatic way, but you can see what .torrent file is linked to what torrent job name with BEncode Editor.
adem0x
That would be a significant forensic work if you have a lot of torrents. I am not sure everyone could do that either. What, instead, would be much more user friendly is to let the user decide whether to allow for such automatic/background renaming of torrents. In other words, could you not make it a user option (in Options | Preferences | General), such as with a checkbox saying "Allow server renaming of torrents" or some such thing. [Or, instead of checkbox, an option list with 'Never', 'Always', and 'Ask me every time']Cheers,
