seeding question from newbie (ratio)

Hi,

My principal objective here is to raise my ratio which is presently at around 0.3.

I would like to know if it is possible to somehow put back a torrent in my torrent windows (upper) so that it can become a seed again, without having to download it again.

If I am downloading a single large torrent file, I noticed that no matter what else I do, the upload speed is 0 whenever I pause or stop the download of that one torrent. So what about the others that I once downloaded but removed from the list in uTorrent ? Also, is there a way to keep a torrent seeding while its downloading is paused ?

Use scheduler to put uTorrent into a seed-only mode with existing started-but-not-finished downloading torrents.

To add torrents back, use the migration guide:

Thank you Switeck, I will work on it. I've read it a few times and it's useful. A few things I'm not sure I understand but I'll figure it out by trial and error. One last question though, if I'm not abusing of your generosity, how do I start a brand new torrent for a file I want to share with the community ? Just a pointer maybe.

I'm trying to be a good citizen and raise my upload to download ratio but it still barely gets higher than 0.33. Working on it. I'm new not only to uTorrent but to P2P in general.

In uTorrent, File, Add Torrent...or have .torrent files associated with uTorrent (in Preferences, General).
