uTorrent freezes when accessing WebUI

This is a strange bug I've noticed since uTorrent 2.0+. When I try to access the WebUI, it seems that at some random point it will cause uTorrent to freeze. Here are my steps to reproduce (kinda...it's inconsistent):

1.) Boot up HTPC system (Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Core 2 Duo)

2.) RDP into Administrator account from Desktop PC. uTorrent is in Startup fodler and starts when I log in.

3.) uTorrent does it's normal thing, starts to check/download torrents.

4.) Open WebUI from Desktop PC (located on same LAN as server).

5.) After a random period of time, uTorrent will freeze and peg one of the cores in the server at 100% CPU

6.) Kill uTorrent from process list in Task Manager (no crash dump file is created)

7.) Restart uTorrent.

8.) From this point on, it seems ANY access to the WebUI causes a freeze until I reboot the server.

This seems to happen more frequently if I have multiple torrents running. My current uTorrent config limits active torrents to a max of 5. I tried this on both vTorrent 2.0 and 2.0.1 beta with same results. I also had stunnel installed for HTTPS access, and it happens both with stunnel installed and without it.

Also, I thought it might be an issue with the WebUI HTML code, so I did some testing with different versions. I also deleted the webui.zip file from the AppData\Roaming\uTorrent directory and retested...The weird thing is that when I try to access the webui with no webui.zip file, and I get the page that prompts to automatically download it, uTorrent will freeze there too. So even without any webui.zip file available, it's still freezing when I try to access it.

The solution they propose is to disable the WebUI, and block off any ports that might allow access to it (even when disabled). But I actually want to use the WebUI for remote management. Should I drop back down to uTorrent 1.8.5 for the time being until this issue is resolved?

Edit 2: I did some more testing, and strangely one of the iPhone web UI's works consistently, but the moment I try to use a desktop browser it freezes uTorrent. This is the UI package I have installed for the iPhone:
