With the other two (media/ file indexers and missing/broken) i don't know what to do with them. I can't find some of them to delete so maybe i should leave them?

I installed utorrent 1.8.2 from a friends copy. At first it worked fine, no freezing or crashes at all. But i couldn't connect to many seeders (only like 3-4, getting low speeds). This might be because they all are using 2.0.

Today however, i did experience some lag/freeze, and a friend suggested it could be my registry. Are there are good registry programs that can fix or identify any problems with my registry?

HijackThis! can remove those missing links, especially if you're sure you uninstalled/removed the programs they link to.

Update:

Today i managed to download something and watch an episode of breaking bad without any interruptions! I think its finally working! I did what switeck said and finally got some positive results. Utorrent (or bitorrent is what im using now) is still on and no freezing or crashing, even after i browsed the web, played some tf2/l4d2, watched some movies etc. So thank you very much switeck, dreadknight and firon for helping me solve this problem!

Solution. After following the threads here, I did two things which seem to have resolved my problem with constant 2.0 crashes. Thanks for the leads.

(1) As suggested in the thread, I removed the ask.com toolbar and its ask.exe files from the :\programs\<<directory>> in which I found them.

(2) Within uTorrent 2.0 "Preferences", I limited the upload to 300 kB. I had been achieving unprecedented upload rates of +1.0 mB. The threads suggested that this was an enhancement of 2.0 that my system apparently could not handle.

(3) Since making the above two adjustments, no crashes have occurred and I continue to achieve improved download rates.

Problem. Upgrade to 2.0. Running Windows 7 with Realtek netcard. Constant blue screen crashes.

Sounds like you've severely limited your upload rate. If that was enough to stop BSOD's chances are your networking drivers are full of fail.

Are you on the latest Realtek driver? They constantly rev their drivers, and you can nab it from realtek's own website.

If I start more than 1 torrent to download..utorrent latest ver crashed my PC form yestreday.

PC crach after aprox 5min with this BSOD!

I have all win update have not any antivirus,but have Windows firewall.

I seriously do not want to post a message, its like taking a step back from what i thought was fixed.

Utorrent 2.0 works fine when i'm downloading something. However, the only problems it causes now is if i start to browse the web online, It causes freezing and severe crashing. Bittorrent works fine (it had the same problem as utorrent2.0 before) and i can even browse the web without any crashes however the connection and download speed isn't as good as utorrent's. How do i fix this problem? I don't want to leave utorrent on whenever i'm downloading things (and i'm quite a heavy downloader so it is a hassle).

I've decided to use utorrent 2.0.1 and it works ok. Still the occasional freezing here and there but nothing so severe. Again, download is still crap. I'm comparing this to using azurues. whenever i use azurues, i get around 2 MB download speed (and that with torrents from high tracker sites) and hardly any freezing, but with bittorent/utorrent (2.0.1 or 1.8.5 or even 2.0) i get some freezing and okish download speeds. How come i get better results with azurues then with utorrent?

I've decided to use azurues for now. It doesn't cause any freezing or crashing, heck i'm using it now whilst watching a youtube video and typing this message (which would've caused my pc to freeze and crash if i had utorrent on) but nothings happening, azurues is downloading fine with good speeds and not causing any problems. The only crap thing with azurues (apart from the awful skins) is the fact that it has no good upload speed which makes my ratio really crap. But i suppose i can use my laptop (which runs 1.8.5 with no problems) for that.

It's my belief that whatever is "wrong" with the one computer could be a complex series of separate issues. uTorrent now heavily uses UDP traffic while Azureus only does for DHT.

Formatting + Reinstalling that one computer might help, *IF* you don't install everything that was on it again. Testing as you go would be the best, once uTorrent "breaks" the last thing installed is probably to blame.
