ruyter
Creating a new torrent, I take that I do not need to put any information in the "web seeds" area, as long as all the files are on my own computer.(In all the forum discussions and guides I saw, this question was never answered.)Who will tell me the truth? DreadWingKnight
if you don't have the files on a webhost, leave webseeds blank.
ruyter
Thank you, DreadWingKnight! This was fast and competent. Now the next step: Situation: Now after creating the new torrent file, I am using BitTorrent to seed. The manual said: That's all I have to do.Question: How will the community and the search engines (like http://torrent-finder.com/ and the listed sites there) get to know, that my torrent is available? Will BitTorrent send the torrent file somewhere, and where? Can I do anything to facilitate that? Thanks in advance!
moogly
No, BT or µT send the .torrent nowhere. You have to publish yourself the .torrent to websites (public/private trackers, indexers, forums, by email etc...).Then when a 1st leecher will discover your torrent and load it into its client, you will begin to seed.
