Anza Power
Hello, I'm a long time uTorrent user, I was just wondering, not long ago I started getting my torrents from a website that gives you a list of trackers with the torrent compatible with uTorrent, I've noticed that adding those trackers significantly increases the number of peers and thus also the speed, but also this list has a lot of trackers that I know never make any connection, and also trackers that are duplicates, my question is, do these trackers have any setbacks? will the choke my speed? or is it ok to keep them? Switeck
Things like this can happen when uTorrent has to search through too many trackers and/or torrents:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=70792http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=458330#p458330It's best to remove *ANY* trackers that always fail or only return 1 seed or peer -- you! Anza Power
The seeds and peer columns in the trackers tab show how many different peer the tracker gave not just the ones currently online right? cause I've compared them and one tracker shows more seeds than the amount of seeds currently connected...http://tinypic.com/r/10dxulh/5But when I restarted uT though, the seed and peer counts in the trackers tab all got zeroed out, so for anyone else reading this I'd suggest you wait an hour or two then come back to the torrent and delete the unnecessary trackers...Thanks for the advice Switeck...
