Just upgraded and now getting error "can't find torrent file"

I have just upgraded to version 2.0 build 18488. after the upgrade all my older seeding torrents now have an error "can't find torrent file".

I have tried a force recheck without success.

I have tried a new download this works ok and will also seed. it is just all the old torrents which were seeding from the last version which now error.

All these files are saved in a different directory to the .torrent file

I can browse to the files from the "open containing folder" menu option

All are manually downloaded and added.

Not to sure what to do, any help would be appreciated.

Did you move your .torrent files around at any point?

I am having the exact same problem. Everything was working fine until I upgraded to the newest version. I have moved the torrents and the downloaded files since downloading (except the one that is working fine). When I right click each torrent and select "Select Download Location" the correct information is displayed. However the Error message tells me that it can't open the torrent file but lists the original location that the file was downloaded to.

The .torrent files belong in %appdata%\utorrent by default. If you have (re)moved them from there, put them back and restart.

I put the torrent files back in the app/data folder but it didn't help. I recreated a torrent folder where it was originally (My Documents/Torrents) and put the torrent files back there and then it started working again. What do I do if I want to move those torrent files to a different place - is it possible? Thanks.

Also, do I need to change my "move completed torrents" to the app/data folder?
