su_jumptd
Hello all,I know this as probably been ask already...but thought I'd get some clarification. When I activate my scheduler do turn on at night time everything is good but during the daytime hours when its configured to turn off there is still activity going on. Is this supposed to be like this or is "all" activity supposed to be completely shut down. Some clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Switeck
Did you tell it to stop DHT as well?Did you start any torrents with FORCE start, which overrides Scheduler's stop times? You could also get incoming connections even when stopped, though uTorrent should quickly drop them. But individually those should be very little bandwidth.
su_jumptd
Thanks for the input,I have disabled DHT and removed torrents that I've forced but still getting a constant D:0.80 U:20. I'm all about spreading the joy but is there a way of cutting off D/U activity completely with the scheduler? Thanks again for the assistance. Switeck
What about RSS feeds? Is the DL/UL coming from constant incoming connections, or is it actually DLing/ULing pieces of your torrents?
su_jumptd
Good question where would I find the RSS feeds on utorrent...didn't know it had that option. How would I check for look for the other stuff you described. Here is a picture of what I'm seeing....in my torrent list under the label "download" & "upload" its not showing any activity at all and all torrents are grayed out. But in the upper left corner of my screen there is D:0.89k U:0.47 does this mean that things are still active?

su_jumptd
Sorry for the delayed response. I let the logger run for a couple of minutes this is what it kicked out.[2010-03-31 11:13:28] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:2588 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:13:28] 190.87.106.0:2588: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:13:43] Incoming connection from 74.179.27.252:50535 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:13:46] 74.179.27.252:50535: Disconnect: No such torrent: F6D3737E6EF85ABF36A05E9292EA847F12DDD2BA[2010-03-31 11:13:51] Incoming connection from 69.119.87.163:2099 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:13:51] 69.119.87.163:2099: Disconnect: No such torrent: 03BA3CB59EC4BFB540220737C145714602FD1879[2010-03-31 11:14:00] Incoming connection from 94.252.77.85:63907 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:14:03] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:2731 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:14:03] 190.87.106.0:2731: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:14:03] 94.252.77.85:63907: Disconnect: No such torrent: D57ACD46A7EFF6DFA492077514AA0977A8AD31C5[2010-03-31 11:14:30] Incoming connection from 69.119.87.163:2119 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:14:30] 69.119.87.163:2119: Disconnect: No such torrent: 03BA3CB59EC4BFB540220737C145714602FD1879[2010-03-31 11:14:41] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:2885 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:14:41] 190.87.106.0:2885: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:14:49] Incoming connection from 74.179.27.252:50824 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:14:53] 74.179.27.252:50824: Disconnect: No such torrent: F6D3737E6EF85ABF36A05E9292EA847F12DDD2BA[2010-03-31 11:15:14] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:3016 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:15:14] 190.87.106.0:3016: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:15:36] Incoming connection from 68.8.172.34:40792 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:15:37] 68.8.172.34:40792 [uTP]: Disconnect: No such torrent: 03BA3CB59EC4BFB540220737C145714602FD1879[2010-03-31 11:15:46] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:3146 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:15:46] 190.87.106.0:3146: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:15:49] Incoming connection from 69.119.87.163:2156 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:15:49] 69.119.87.163:2156: Disconnect: No such torrent: 03BA3CB59EC4BFB540220737C145714602FD1879[2010-03-31 11:15:56] Incoming connection from 74.179.27.252:50129 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:16:00] 74.179.27.252:50129: Disconnect: No such torrent: F6D3737E6EF85ABF36A05E9292EA847F12DDD2BA[2010-03-31 11:16:17] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:3270 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:16:17] 190.87.106.0:3270: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:16:27] Incoming connection from 94.252.77.85:64437 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:16:29] 94.252.77.85:64437: Disconnect: No such torrent: D57ACD46A7EFF6DFA492077514AA0977A8AD31C5[2010-03-31 11:16:51] Incoming connection from 190.87.106.0:3408 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:16:51] 190.87.106.0:3408: Disconnect: Can't sync DH3[2010-03-31 11:16:59] Incoming connection from 82.154.38.200:61194 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:16:59] 82.154.38.200:61194: Disconnect: No such torrent: F6D3737E6EF85ABF36A05E9292EA847F12DDD2BA[2010-03-31 11:17:00] Incoming connection from 68.8.172.34:52427 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:17:00] 68.8.172.34:52427: Disconnect: No such torrent: 03BA3CB59EC4BFB540220737C145714602FD1879[2010-03-31 11:17:02] Incoming connection from 89.215.23.145:41695 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:17:02] 89.215.23.145:41695 [uTP]: Disconnect: No such torrent: 03BA3CB59EC4BFB540220737C145714602FD1879[2010-03-31 11:17:02] Incoming connection from 74.179.27.252:50442 for torrent 'UNKNOWN'[2010-03-31 11:17:07] 74.179.27.252:50442: Disconnect: No such torrent: F6D3737E6EF85ABF36A05E9292EA847F12DDD2BA
Switeck
None of those incoming requests (except maybe the BitComet-only DH3 encrpytion) are for torrents you have active at that time. But those incoming requests still have some bandwidth costs. These are a few seconds apart typically, so even if each is 1-5 KB they shouldn't keep your connection constantly active...only tiny bursts of activity. su_jumptd
Cool, would be nice if all activity was cut off so I don't have to worry about any intrusions or anything. Well if that's the way its got to be I can live with that. Thanks again.
Switeck
The other ends retry your ip in their torrent ip peer lists. So long as your ip exists and is forwarded to your computer, your computer would get their incoming connection attempts.
