dev8t1
HiI am facing some issues with Utorrent. I am using Windows 7, 32-bit and I have the latest version of utorrent installed, version 2.0.I have a 256 K bps broadband connectivity. Ideally I should be getting somewhere around 30 K. bps provided the torrent health is good. but no matter whatever is the condition the speed never goes beyond 20 K. bps. I have a D-Link GLB - 502T ADSL 2+ modem router. Please find below the result of my connection after testing.:::.. testmy.net test results ..:::Download Connection is:: 239 Kbps about 0.24 Mbps (tested with 512 kB)Download Speed is:: 29 kB/sUpload Connection is:: 212 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 386 kB)Upload Speed is:: 26 kB/sTested From:: http://testmy.net (Main)Test Time:: 2010/03/20 - 11:44am D-Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-82QZGVAMBU-Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-6MQFVRUWE User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6 [!] I have ensured that the ports are forwarded correctly. the network icon at the bottom of the utorrent window is green. I have checked with portforward checker and made sure that my port is forwarded properly.Still the speed seem to remain the same. Please kindly Help. Thanks in advanceRegardsDev
bbbl67@yahoo.com
Typically there is bound to be some overhead involved. If you're going to be doing some general web surfing at the same time, you'll be using up part of that bandwidth. Also it should be noted that your download speed is heavily dependent on the upload speed. Namely, if you minimize the upload speed limit to 50% or less of your maximum upload speed, you should get better download efficiency too. So depending on how clear your upload bandwidth is, your download can be maximized.
Switeck
2nd link in my signature. You may want to use a slightly higher alternate upload speed while not downloading (only seeding).

bbbl67@yahoo.com
Your upload rate is limited to 22 KB/s. Where does that number come from? Was it done through Utorrent's own Speed Guide feature? In the bandwidth section where this is set, I'd keep this the same, but I'd put the alternate upload rate at half of that, 11 KB/s. This is the rate that'll be used when you're downloading torrents, rather than just seeding.
fperezfe
I have similar problems with windows 7 and utorrent 2.0. Is almost imposible to continue surfing or doing other internet activity when utorrent is active, neither reducing the upload rate limit (normally in vista and XP i reduced the rate to 20 kb/s and was enough to continuing surfing but now i reduced to 3 kb/s and still having problems). Now the unique chance is wait to swith off utorrent until i finished my other things. Any solution to this?
