saxxoo
Most of the time my utorrent is running 24/7, but today it suddenly stopped. It simply wasn't down/uploading, but it shows both peers/seeds, none of which I'm connected to.The tracker is also only updating all the time.I've checked through the settings, but nothing seems changed to my router or utorrent, tried restarting both utorrent and pc with no luck. Tested with torrents files from different places that I know works, but same result from all. Also tried updating utorrent just in case, but again nothing changed. neilwheel
Same here. No Seeds, no peers, no connections. All trackers report :"Proxy connect error : no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."Bummer =(
Firon
Your proxy is broken. Fix the proxy or use another proxy.
saxxoo
just to make sure, due to the hijack of my post ... In my case I don't use a proxy so the question/answer isn't really related to my question.
DreadWingKnight
What internet security software do you have installed?
saxxoo
I have spyware doctor with antivirus installed, been using for a long time while using utorrent. It's listed as allowing access, also tried with it disabled to see if any different, with no luck.On a side note I can also mention that I have the port opened in the router settings... also tried remove it and enable it again, just in case... all with no luck. DreadWingKnight
Have you removed and re-created the allow rule for spyware doctor yet?Have you tried with spyware doctor temporarily uninstalled?
saxxoo
yes tried both with enabled, no rule and re enabled it, also tried with it not running and uninstalled.
ovonrein
It simply wasn't down/uploading, but it shows both peers/seeds, none of which I'm connected to.This is merely your scrape. That's outgoing TCP - most firewalls won't object to that. Try this http://www.canyouseeme.org/ on your uTorrent service port. Chances are that when no-one's connecting, this thing isn't open. Next step is then to figure WHY it's closed...
saxxoo
Well it shows open to the port used by utorrent, the same port my router have opened, also tried to change the port... shows open, but not connecting
ovonrein
Ok, so I assume that when you right-click in the Logger tab to select Peer Traffic Logging/Incoming connections that you see some action? And we may even get some pointers as to why no-one loves you?
Switeck
Spyware Doctor to blame?:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=72000
edwardBe
I'm having the same problem; my post is at the link in Switeck's post above. I can confirm that uninstalling Spyware Doctor alleviates the problem, but I haven't found a way keep the good doctor from blocking the ports when it IS installed.
