SidneyWells
I'm downloading a file that has no seeds but 32 peers and has a speed of over 300kps... How is this possible.. Can someone explain. Thanks!!
moogly
Because you are just downloading the pieces that are available and owned by the current peers. And a file without any seeds can be downloaded completely.Imagine a case when a peer A owns the first 50% and a peer B owns the last 50%, you can finish the torrent. Switeck
The "invisible" seed/s may have set max connections pretty low so they don't split their upload speed between too many peers at once. You arrive "late" and the seed/s is already full, so you don't directly connect to it.
