Ekstreme
Hi Guys,I am trying to create my own torrents, which I've done and they seem to work, of sorts. The problem is, my upload speed hits a whopping 1k I have the correct port forwarded in my router, both tcp and udp. Download speeds are great, and uploading seems to be fine, if the torrent is not 'mine'I loaded my torrent into Azureus to check things out and boom 100k uploading. I've gone through the mini speed guide in this forum but nothing seems to help it out. Any more ideas guys. I don't want to have to go back to Azureus

Firon
Do you see Listen error in the status bar? and the latest beta is 428, make sure you're on it
hofshi
well it's not ISP related, since you get good upload speed in AZ.you say that your port is properly forwarded, so we can skip that.I would say that it sounds like a bug, except I'm making my own torrents and uploading them without experiencing this particular bug.I'm as puzzled as you... :|
Ekstreme
No listening errors an I'm definately using the latest beta.
Firon
So you see Network OK?What's tracker status say?
hofshi
you do have "network ok" and you did pass the speed guide-->test port, right?
Ekstreme
Network status is ?? Is this in the beta still? and tracker is OK. It does time out now and then, but this tracker always does that. The port test failed due to my ISP using a transparent proxy, however the port test passes in Azureus using the same port. Ultima
We're asking about the statusbar -- does it say Network OK on the bottom, or are there any errors?
Ekstreme
All it says in the status bar is Download limited, DHT: X peeers and my upload download speeds
Ultima
Uh... you're killing your upload speed.http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#What_does_Download_Limited_in_the_status_bar_mean.3FIncrease your upload limit... -.-
hofshi
it seems that you don't have an uploading problem, you just capped your upload too low (5 or less)Edit: 10 seconds too late
Firon
I think you may've capped your upload incorrectly.Press Ctrl G and choose the correct upload speed.
Ekstreme
I had it open like a $2 hooker, but I re-did the config. It still says download limited.

1c3d0g
Are you using the scheduler? It may have overridden the upload value... :|
Ultima
Check your alternate upload rate too.
Ekstreme
I have no scheduler setup, Alternative upload rate is all cool.
Ultima
Delete settings.dat and settings.dat.old (or move them if you want to hold onto them) from %appdata%\utorrent and try reconfiguring... it's odd that the Download Limited won't go away.Or did you already do that when you said you "re-did the config?"
