abfab
I recently joined a private site which recommended using uTorrent. Not knowing anything about ratios and how such sites work I figured there was a reason to use it. After installing version 2.0 I set all the preferences to be identical to my BitTorrent 6.2 and opened a separate port for it. I noticed that my upload speed was very slow and the total uploaded was small, so I added the torrents to BT and ran them simultaneously to see what would happen. Every time I check back there is a big difference in how much has been uploaded regardless of the torrent. For example, one had 54.6MB in uT vs 147MB in BT. I don't understand what would cause that. Do both programs calculate ratios the same? If so I'll just go back to using BT exclusively.Thanks.
Switeck
Bell Canada ADSL ISP = Bad ISP, so which program uses encryption and/or uTP by default? Also if ISPs aren't making things more complicated, uTP can reduce download/upload speeds...
