Stern1900 Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Utorrent shows one leecher, the tracker shows two.Utorrent shows the leecher have 17.8 %, on tracker the same user have 58 % of the file. This mismatch are not on all files. When I get back to stabel 1400, the information is the same. Sorry for bad english.
Firon Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 1) some clients lie to the tracker when selective downloading (bitcomet)2) some clients don't send HAVEs to seeds, so there's no update on their progress
Stern1900 Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 The user that have not the same % use utorrent 1400. Lies utorrent too????
shadek Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Question to Firon: Does the latest builds of µTorrent report HAVEs to seeds? Am I correct when I say some previous versions of µTorrent didn't do that?Stern1900: Stop and start the torrent. Most likely you'll see a different percentage. And just like Firon stated; 'some clients don't send HAVEs to seeds, so there's no update on their progress', which is also why I asked if previous versions, prior to latest betas didn't send HAVEs.
Stern1900 Posted February 24, 2006 Author Report Posted February 24, 2006 I stoped and start the torrent.Utorrent show me now 66.6 % tracker status 60 % looks better. It´s seems as utorrent did not correct update. On 1400 stabel, I did not have this effekt.
Firon Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 There's like 10 threads on this, it's a bandwidth saving feature in 1.4 and has absolutely no effect. It still reports properly to the tracker and still sends HAVEs to non-seeds.It's configurable in the later builds, I personally turned it off.
