FuGGer: yes. just set bt trans disposition = 26 and don't touch "bandwidth management " after that.

i cant seem to keep bt.trans_disposition = 26 when i [uncheck] enable bandwidth management .

************************************************************

initial state:-

[checked] enable bandwidth management

bt.trans_disposition = 26

************************************************************

change:-

[uncheck] enable bandwidth management

click apply

bt.trans_disposition has changed to 16

************************************************************

change again:-

bt.trans_disposition = 26

click set and apply

enable bandwidth management becomes enabled...

************************************************************

you are missing the point... just set it to 26, and don't touch anything after that . The other checkbox will turn "gray" ... :P

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I just noticed that the "torrent state" (seeding/downloading/stopped) icons in the Name field have white backgrounds as opposed to transparent ones. I don't know if this is intentional, or if transparency can even be done for the icons.

Edit: Okay, that's not EXACTLY correct, as the gray shows behind the icons when you click the Name header to sort, but when Name is not chosen for sorting, the light gray background for alternating rows does not show through the icons.

frnaado: enabled = 31 (uTP + TCP), disabled = 21 (TCP only)

rafi:

I think that pure TCP is 5 and not 21. Why I need the new uTP header when I have disabled the outgoing/incoming uTP connections ? Do I miss something ?

Also when the bt.tcp_rate_control applies ? For what numbers of bt.transp_disposition ?

Thanks

PS. I make I mistake in the previous post and the two options are synchronized. When I disable the "enable bandwidth management" I get a 21* value. Nice!

yes, but 21 will have the same result (right, the new header has not use). As you saw, This is what the devs has set the "disabled" to do.

when the bt.tcp_rate_control applies ?

It should apply only when both uTP and TCP is enabled, and there is some actual uTP traffic. you can see that in the dotted blue line on the graph

I still see a difference even after turning 'Enable bandwidth management' off. With v1.8.5 I never have problems with uploading and using the Internet at the same time, while with v2.0.1 I still on occasion have problems.

Besides 'Enable bandwidth management', what setting do I need to change to get v1.8.5's performance back?

Thank you.

I got the "access denied" error again literally the first time I closed 2.0.2. I don't think it's even possible to fix it, hehe. The devs have claimed to have fixed it twice now with no change on my end. It still keeps happening occasionally, usually when uTorrent.exe is using more than 10 MB of RAM.

no, me too. It's the 'standard procedure' for every new release - bug Firon... :P

or rename the old file to uTorrent-202-19648.chm ... ;)

It's still kind of a mess:

http://download.utorrent.com/help/utorrent-help-200.zip = v1.8.3 (build 15772)http://download.utorrent.com/help/utorrent-help-2000.zip = v2.0.0 (build 17774)http://download.utorrent.com/help/utorrent-help-2010.zip = v2.0.1 (build 19078)http://download.utorrent.com/help/utorrent-help-2020.zip = v2.0.1 (build 19078)http://download.utorrent.com/help/utorrent-help-2100.zip = v1.8.3 (build 15772)

And the 2.1 Alpha still downloads v1.8.3 (build 15772). You should at least make it download the latest available version v2.0.1 (build 19078).

Hey guys I belong to about 10-12 different private tracker sites and about half of them have put this up

"utorrent 2. has been out right banned, because it slows down swarms by favouring mainly other uTP clients, and as utorrent 2. is the only one that impliments uTP, it is mainly ignoring others in the swarm"

I love uTorrent and want to continue using it. Can the makers of this wonderful program fix this problem? Then send a message to ilovetorrents (being one of the private trackers that have said this) saying the problem is fixed and let us use 2.0?

The problem is the delusion of the private tracker admins that uTP gives any exclusivity advantage. They have more to worry about from seedboxes.

The site "ilovetorrents" doesn't actually love torrents because they recommend clients with known security holes in them.
