pantos27 Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Ahoy,I've encountered a persistent problem,Every torrent I add doesn't get actually started until I restart my client.I add a new torrent, the tracker is live and I can see there are seed and peers in the status bar but only after I restart my client the traffic actually starts.I'm currently using BitTorrent 6.4 but this bug goes back to the last two versions of BitTorrent
DreadWingKnight Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Screenshots of preferences - queueing and preferences - bandwidth please.

DreadWingKnight Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 What internet security software do you use?
pantos27 Posted April 9, 2010 Author Report Posted April 9, 2010 I'm using Norton internet securityI'm seeding just over a 100 torrent but only a few active at a timeshould I reduce the number of overall torrent?
DreadWingKnight Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 How many of your torrents have you force started?
Switeck Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Norton internet security may be to blame.Do these torrents typically have multiple trackers, especially if they have udp and/or HTTPS trackers?
pantos27 Posted April 18, 2010 Author Report Posted April 18, 2010 Some of them do, but even the ones with just one http tracker does not start straight away, just after a restart.
Switeck Posted April 18, 2010 Report Posted April 18, 2010 Try temporarily uninstalling Norton internet security?(It's probably misconfigured to block uTorrent partially...or something. )
pantos27 Posted April 18, 2010 Author Report Posted April 18, 2010 I'll check the setting on NAV,will update if there are any positive results Thanks
pantos27 Posted April 18, 2010 Author Report Posted April 18, 2010 I prefer a running AV to this not so major problem
