Eishirou Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Greetings,I am wondering if it is possible to have uTorrent delete entire folders versus simply the data it downloaded. An example, you download a .ZIP, you extract it, you finish with it and do Remove -> Torrent + Data. The extracted file remains and thus the folder itself remains. What I would like is for the entire folder to be deleted. Is this possible somehow? Many thanks.
allancass_2k Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Please consider adding this in your TODO list.I really need this feature and I believe many people do too...just they don't have the time to write. If you download a movie and some subtitles from another source which often is the case and then delete the torrent the folder is left....this is really annoying.Instead I stop uTorrent, delete the folders I want and then when I start it remove the missing entries. An option to delete the entire folder will be a lifesaver!Thank you in advance!
kzahel Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 It seems like a low priority feature.. I bet if you offered a developer a 6-pack they might get it done :-)
allancass_2k Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Thank you for implementing this, but now you have ruined another thing - you have split the "Save in" field in 2 parts - absolute nonsense.....I used to click the "Save in" field and copy it. Why the hell did you do that? You can understand that now I can not copy the path any more. Why would one use a checkbox named "Create subfolder" instead of just deleting the subfolder name...that is just stupid.Anyway...I guess you will not remove that nonsense and restore the thing to its natural state so maybe you could add "Copy Path" context menu to the torrent or maybe even better - near that "Create subfolder" nonsense option.Thank you in advance No intention to be rude...but that thing looks amazingly stupid....I guess you had your reasons to change it.
vze2mp9g Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 I'm willing to bet that a script programmer might able to do what you want. If you really want to "clean up" your files, you should look into a good File Manager! IMHO, Directory Opus can do almost anything for you. They even have forums like uTorrent on the use of Directory Opus. The Manual/Help file is over 700 pages long. If you want to check it out, just go to: http://www.gpsoft.com.au/They let you try it out for a FREE TRIAL for 60 days! You can't go wrong with this deal! It's well worth the minor investment (below fifty US dollars)!
