Mano1010 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 I created a torrent from an ISO. I created this torrent for only one person. Not wanting to support every Tom, Dick, and Harry, who wants this software I changed the name of this ISO [Located on my hard drive] from its original name to Mydogspot.iso before creating the torrent and uploading it into an "Other" category on a certain website. I only used one tracker. Within minutes I had three seeders and two peers, none of whom was the intended target. The torrent also gained three trackers in addition to the one I used. I thought I understood torrents but this has me confused. What am I missing? There are no other torrents titled Mydogspot. The software I'm passing on is a very common software.
Switeck Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Automated "download-everything" RSS feeds possibly?Hostiles sharing fake data?Fake seeds/peers that aren't really there?
