Extent of Pausing/Resuming Ability

I have a big torrent I'm downloading, and it's not finished. I want to re-format my PC and do a clean Windows install, but I don't want to lose all I've downloaded so far from this torrent.

My question: Can I move the incomplete files to another computer or storage device and re-open them with uTorrent later? Or will moving the files around cause problems?

Save your (in)complete torrents (files) and the entire folder %appdata%\utorrent (and the folders set in Preferences > Directories).

Then just back up these files on your fresh OS.

If the device is different, just change the download location (right click on the torrent).
