chrisbliss Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 I have alot of leechers in my torrent downloads, people who download but not seeding, or seeding at the incredible speed 1kb sec, but download at full speed, this guys are several hundreds ocupying my list, so my download speed suck ass:( I want to be able to ban these suckers once and for good. is there any way to do that in utorrent? somehow it seems utorrent is happy with these asholes and are not getting new seeders in the list even I have the high broadband allocation turned on:(
DreadWingKnight Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Just because they aren't uploading to you, it doesn't mean they aren't uploading at all.
mair Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I too would like to be able to kick peers (just like I can in ktorrent), specially when they are using flashget, which is not a proper torrent client
Switeck Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 If you find an ip is particularly nasty...add it to the ipfilter.dat file.Remember that many consumer broadband connections use dynamic ips and may change once a day to once every couple months -- so remove the bans after awhile.
mair Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 OK, so it is possible. It would be a nice feature if it could be done by a single click like in some other clients, though. :/
moogly Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Nope. Already requested and denied. Make a search.
Switeck Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 IP banning is not something to be done lightly...making it a right-click option would be disastrous!...Too many idiots would use it for too little reason.
