Change download directories

I've read the pick one file, change dir, force scan.

That's not working out well for me, some just disappear, and some get a green check mark to the left of the name. I'm looking for a "rescan download directory that will give you back your blue, grey and green arrows. I had to change directories and put it on another harddrive, room issue. To individually pick and step through the afore mentioned proceed, would be very time consuming and since I'm picky about everything looking right, very undesireable results, not to mention the several that just dissappears.

Do I hand this off to the developers or is there another answer I have not found?
