chevyz Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 I have had utorrent 1.6.1 for years and it rarely had a problem with bittorrents. Recently I went wireless with a Netgear Router WGR614v9 and added it with my old modem Actiontec GT701-WG. I am using Windows XP Pro service pak 2. I am using Panda Internet Security 2010. I had the ports opened prior to adding the NearGear. I had went thru open ports at portforward.com and in Panda, I allowed for incoming and outgoing connections. I have tried everything I can think of with no progress. I continue with a RED icon and on private trackers I can't seed the torrents. (The private trackers requests that users use the 1.8.5 and older utorrent) I appreciate help with this. Would it helped to do a hijack this log?ThanksChevy
schnurlos Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 So: you had forwarded your port while using a modem only - this means your modem acts as a router too.Now having additional one router, you have to forward the router's IP with the uTorrent port to your (router-)modem.Otherwise your are double-NATted.
