Problem...open utorrent> d/l file > computer turns off and restarts

This is my problem, can anyone offer any assistance please? This has been happening for a good few months and eventually i stopped using torrents.

I'm running XP3 SP3, all drivers fully updated, Bit Defender 2009, i have anti-spyware, anti-malware, tupperware ), have tried lspfix, tried both encryption and non- encryption and still the computer restarts every time utorrent (or BitTorrent) runs. I have the latest version of utorrent. I am using a Sagem F@ast 800 modem and have a stable 7.7Mbps connection with TalkTalk.

I have some knowledge but this has thrown me. No other program causes this to happen.

Any other suggestions please?

No....just turns off and restarts!!

Run Bluescreenview and see if your computer is actually crashing, but restarting quickly. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Hi and thanks for the suggestion.

The program says that there were no crashes so I am unable to post a copy of the report.

Incidentally, I get no warning of any kind, the computer just turns off and then restarts.
