johnpeeb
Hi,I'm behind a firewall that blocks all incoming connections and does not support either NAT-PMP or UPNP. Also, I do not have administrative access to the firewall, so there is no way for me to setup port forwarding. My understanding is that while I can make connections to other peers, this situation prevents them from initiating a connection with me which prevents me from downloading as fast as I could otherwise. My question is short of forwarding all utorrent traffic (forwarding a small amount would be OK) through a VPN, an ssh proxy, etc., is there a way to overcome this problem? I was reading a little about using a SOCKS proxy for tunneling only tracker-related traffic. Would this resolve the problem? Thanks for your help.
