ie
Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to the torrent protocol... hopefully my question isn't too stupid!Anyways, I stumbled upon a problem with my uTorrent and couldn't find help with google.I wanted to limit seeding of some public torrents to LAN only.So I removed all the trackers from the original .torrent files, disabled uTorrent's DHT and Peer Exchange while leaving Local Peer Discovery on, then restarted uTorrent.I'm still getting peer connections from all over the internet. What exactly is the issue and how do I avoid it? Is my uTorrent client caching the peers somewhere even after restarting it? Or are those peers caching my IP in their peerlist?
DreadWingKnight
Or are those peers caching my IP in their peerlist? This. And what you want is quite annoying to do on a per-torrent basis.
ie
Thanks for your quick reply!I assume changing my external IP should help in this situation? (Thankfully, I have a dynamic IP so that is an option for me.)
