bugmenot2
Does anyone know what strength RC uTorrent utlises? I.e. RC1-5? Azureus/Vuze, for example, allows you to set obfuscation between RC1 and RC5 depening on type of ISP throttling. Also, would forcing protocol encryption actually flag me to an ISP even though it prevents them for doing packet inpections (depending on the sophistication of their hardware of course).EDIT: Does a static vs dynamic IP make any difference in this respect? Apart form the fact that on random occasions sites like google stop loading for me and I find the only fix is a modem switch off/on, which forces a new IP to be generated and asigned to me by my ISP.Thanks
Lord Alderaan
The strength is not so important. ISPs aren't gonna try to decrypt the stream on-the-fly. They will try to detect BitTorrent traffic by other means/patterns.
Firon
Vuze's obfuscation uses RC4 as the cipher. The various 'levels' do different things.uTorrent does full encryption (header + payload).
