diweittw
What is the best free firewall available that is most compatible with utorrent or bittorrent? I'm currently using sygate. However, even though I allowed all traffic for utorrent, when I looked at the traffic log, I found that traffic for utorrent was blocked many times. When I closed sygate, the dl speed increased appreciably.Thank you.I meant I allowed the program and also set an exception for it. I know that others had asked similar questions. However, I'm hoping that some answers specific to my problem are available. In addition, some recommended zonealarm. But I read in azeureus that it is not compatible with bittorrent.Thanks. Firon
Pleae don't double post, use the edit button.A lot of us here use no firewall because we're of the opinion that software firewalls are junk. In any case, Look 'n' Stop firewall is supposed to be good.

Firon
I use none at all. But yeah, you could use a router's firewall.
splintax
I just use the built-in WinXP firewall, mainly to get XP to shut up about me being insecure.I know you can turn off those alerts.. but meh.

1c3d0g
You might also want to turn off Application Layer Gateway as well if you're disabling the Winbloze firewall.
Ultima
ALG is stopped when Windows Firewall is stopped and disabled, or at least that's been my experience.
