newbie question - discursive lines

Newly I noticed discursive red and green lines above my usual download and upload lines. At first the speed it took didn't amount to much, but now it almost takes up half my uploading speed, and takes like 25 kb/s download even at times I only seed. What exacty is that line, cause nothing is written about it in the FAQ, and it just slows me down.

Oh, and when we are at it: how to make it disappear?

(I'm downgrading my uTorrent back to 2.0 right now, but still curious)
