Notice from NBC Universal

I am a novice Bit Torrent user and use it mainly to download TV programs that I have missed. Today I received a email from NBC Universal stateing that they have my IP address and they are giving me a chance to stop my "illegal piracy". Has anyone else gotten this type of email?
