New uTorrent version freezing Vista

Hey guys, I seem to be having a problem with the new version of uTorrent which you guys sent out last week sometime. I've been having a vista freezing problem for a week or so and its been killing me as i couldn't figure out why. I'm 90% sure its uTorrent as when i closed the app my pc didn't freeze for 2-3 hours, I opened up uTorrent and 2minutes later my pc froze. Ps when i mean freeze i mean - no mouse movement, screen freeze, but NO blue screen. Simply have to power off laptop the manual way.

I've looked through the other threads - I don't have a firewall running, im using AVG Pro 9 and i've read about File Indexing being a problem and thats turned OFF.

I've been using utorrent for about 3-4 years now and had no problems. They started last week sometime, and if i can remember correctly thats when an update for uTorrent came out, which i automatically updated.

If its anything to do with this which it might be. I have AVG popup at me shortly after boot up saying Blocked Process of Windows\System32\services.exe with a link to a website http://gbsup.com/***.exe, and a Trojan Horse description. I'm not sure how to get rid of it as AVG doesn't want to after initially finding it. I'll get a screen shot of it next time i boot.

However crashing only occurs when uTorrent is open.

Hey I've recently discovered that it only happens when downloading very large files. I downloaded a 700mb file fine. However I've been downloading a 40gb torrent since last week. So it probably isn't due to the new uTorrent version. Just the fact that i've never downlaoded a file that big before.

Once again, any help would be great.

Maybe there is an issue with UDP. Try to disable "bandwidth management" in µT (reboot µT).

Hi moogly, disabling bandwidth management didn't work.

If it helps, the torrent can sit paused or not downloading or even downloading with an error with the tracker and it will not crash. As soon as a few kbs are downloaded it freezes. It also does this whether im downloading a small portion of the torrent such as 50mb/40gig or whether i set it download the whole thing.
