AmyaKhare Posted May 9, 2010 Report Posted May 9, 2010 I have tried downloading torrents with DvDrip, xVivid, CAM and many more. The download is completed using uTorrent 2.0.1 on a machine with XP Professional service pack 3. As soon as the file is downloaded, uTorrent displays the torrent with an exclamation mark icon in red and I get a little balloon in the right bottom corner indicating the title of the torrent and Access is denied. When I go to open the file, I get an error that the file cannot be opened because it may be corrupted or does not exist. I am downloading movies and have tried every player such as DivX, VLC, Nero 9 and Windows Media Player. I have tried over 25 torrents for the same movie and each torrent has the same result. There a few files that indicate another player needs to be downloaded and then the site they suggest does not work. I download torrents from Pirate Bay, isohunt and bit torrent and they all give the same results. Please kindly help me in overcoming this frustrating experience, as I have never had problems before.Your help and guidance is greatly appreciated.ThanksAmiya
b003 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 I got that a lot too but only on some of them. I'm using 2.02 now but I skipped a few version during my upgrade to 2.02. Try redownloading the torrent. Delete the torrent but not the data. Worked for me in my old version not so much in this one.
DreadWingKnight Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 And did you check the security properties of the files and folders to make sure the user account running uTorrent had full control?
b003 Posted May 20, 2010 Report Posted May 20, 2010 Speaking for myself I've never had any permissions issues.
