rasse77 Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Well, my download speed is 10-16mb/s on my private tracker site. And thats great. But when i'm starting to upload it does like 100kb/s at most. It sucks. At the same while, my brother is uploading like 2mb/s. His computer is in the other room next door and we use the same ethernet. My network card can handle 1gb/s. I dont know what it is. It pisses me of Someone know how to fix this?
Switeck Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 You're sharing the same limited connection. Running 1 copy of uTorrent instead of 2 or more would get better overall speeds. If that's not possible, you need to set each one's upload speed limiter so they don't conflict.
rafi Posted May 16, 2010 Report Posted May 16, 2010 let's guess your connection has a 2Mbps upload max. if you both are seeding - limit each to 1mbps upload limit (=125KBytes/sec in uT) , and set net.calc_overhead=true
rasse77 Posted May 16, 2010 Author Report Posted May 16, 2010 but, when he is seeding in ex. 50kB/s, i still seed like 10kB/s on the same torrent. It have to be something in the settings!
Switeck Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 Both doing the same torrent doesn't work very well. Other peers will only connect to one of you -- as they don't allow repeated connections to the same ip.
rafi Posted May 17, 2010 Report Posted May 17, 2010 I hope he, at least, uses a different port for each ...
