girkers Posted May 10, 2010 Report Share Posted May 10, 2010 I have found that when I am running the latest version of uTorrent that my system slow right down and it gets worse the longer you leave it running. I have narrowed it down to being excess Deferred Procedure Calls, as can be seen with Process Explorer shows about 30% process usage and about 25% for uTorrent.Could anyone suggest a way to narrow down further what the problem is because about a minute after exiting uTorrent my DPC process usage drops to <1% if any.ThanksGirkers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

girkers Posted May 11, 2010 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2010 Using Avast Internet Security, but the problem started before this was installed. The onboard NIC is Realtek RTL8168B/8111B, the NIC driver is dated from February but I have just downloaded one from Realtek that is dated in April.
