uTorrent will only download one torrent at a time

I'm running 2.0.1(19248)

But I've had this problem over the past few versions and finally gotten tired of it.

Basically, most of the time I can set a new torrent downloading until I've stopped every single other torrent on my list. If I have any active torrents, either downloading or seeding, then a new torrent wont connect to anyone. It'll show me how man seeds and peers there are in the swarm (in brackets) but wont connect to any of them.

Occasionally, VERY rarely, it does, but the download speed it deathly slow.

What are your utorrent settings? (The ones shown on the CTRL+G window and any you changed in advanced settings.)

i am having the same problem but i know for a fact my settings are set up for multiple torrents at a time, but only one will go at once. i had a problem with my firewall, but found that running your client as administrator will deal with that problem. yet, when i start my client only one will start, and as soon as it finishes i have to shut down the client and restart it so that another torrent will start. my ports are forwarded properly and my settings are set for multiple torrents to download at one time.

max active downloads = 20

upload limit = 1 kB/s (only while downloading, unlimited when not downloading)

connections(per torrent) = 500

upload slots = 50

connections (global) = 1000

ok, i changed my settings to what is recommended for my connection, but i am still having the same problem. actually, now my downloads won't even get seeders, it is finding peers, but no one is joining the seed.
