utorrent uninstalled

I was in the middle of downloading a torrent when I had to reboot my PC for updates. When I tried to restart utorrent it told me that I had to install it again and then it wouldn't re-install. Other than menu bar icons there's no sign of utorrent on my system.

Why would utorrent suddenly uninstall itself and then refuse to reinstall?

Check the folder %ProgramFiles%\uTorrent, utorrent.exe should be here.

If that's the case, make a backup copy of the folder %appdata%\utorrent then delete it.

Install utorrent.exe then close it. Put the folder %appdata%\utorrent back, uT should resume your torrent jobs.
