volstagg the valiant
hello. i'm using the latest version of utorrent and its been giving me some speed problems. my prob is rather unique. i also use a bandwidth meter (tautology bandwidth meter)to keep track of my usage. the bandwidth meter also displays the speed at which i'm downloading. my problem is this: when i'm downloading something in utorrent , the speed shown in the bandwidth meter is always higher than the speed shown in utorrent. i have checked for other programs running and downloading in the background. so why does this happen? thanks in advance
DreadWingKnight
does the O: value in the status bar of uTorrent account for any of the extra speed?

rafi
how much higher ? screen-shot ? I've found a ~10% discrepancy in the calculated overhead speed.
volstagg the valiant
if the speed in my bandwidth meter is 220kBps , the speed in utorrent is 160-175kBps

rafi
I cannot check it, because you didn't capture the status bar (overhead is shown only there, not in the main view). Also you didn't specify what your net.calc_overhead is set to .
volstagg the valiant
net.calc-overhead value is false. which is the status bar dude? the one at the bottom?

volstagg the valiant
what about the net.calc-overhead value. its supposed to be false right?new screenshot http://www.pixhost.org/show/840/2515748_untitled2.pngedit: i have changed the settings according to B1 in your sig..lets see if there is an improvementand thanks for your help
rafi
It's up to you. read B [1] in my sig . I like it to be true.Edit: the speed is 156+14 = 170 . uT measures avarage spped, and it does seems low. Just make sure that netmeter->options->general is set to show avarage speed.
