Beerai Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Last night, as I've done on a few other nights, I put my pc into stand by and used a program to bring it out of standby so utorrent could download during my off-peak hours. This morning when I checked my torrents, the status icons looked pretty bad. I've tried changing the icons with others from the selection of status icons on the site but utorrent doesn't even recognise it when I restart it. It does change the toolbar if I paste a new skin in its folder, however. Here's a screenshot:
DreadWingKnight Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Turn off all compatibility mode settings on the properties of the exe.
Beerai Posted May 22, 2010 Author Report Posted May 22, 2010 There aren't any on. I've also restarted utorrent and my machine twice and nothing's changed. I'm on Xp sp3 32bit
DreadWingKnight Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 Those icons indicate something is messing with the color depth of your system and isn't letting it change back.
Beerai Posted May 22, 2010 Author Report Posted May 22, 2010 I'm not sure why it won't change back though. I've restarted my machine which means whatever the problem is, it persists after the restart. Something must have screwed up during standby or something. Nothing's changed since last night. I haven't installed anything or changed any settings. Also, utorrent is the only program showing the problem.*EDIT: After running the setup guide, all icons reverted back to normal. Very strange...
