JohSeg Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 When a LAN link and the Internet connection fails I have to manually restart the file transfer. This should be done automaticly when the problem is solved. It's very frustrating that a big file transfer stops and don't restart because of a temporarily drop down of the LAN link and/or Internet connection. Specially in unguarded transfers :-)Sorry for my bad English...
JohSeg Posted May 25, 2010 Author Report Posted May 25, 2010 When I lose the connection, either to my wireless LAN and/or to the Internet, I get messages like "Files missing" or "Invalid download state". Then I've to manually restart the transfers. Very irritating when I download files unguarded e.g. by the night.or the weekend. I've the program installed on three machines – all with the same problem. Have I missed some checkbox in the adjustments or what?
Saribro Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Are you downloading your files to a network share instead of locally? These are odd errors to get for just a downed network.
JohSeg Posted May 26, 2010 Author Report Posted May 26, 2010 Yupp, I mostly dl to a "server" used for central streaming over the [wireless] LAN. Maybe I've to centralize ALL µTorrent dl using that machine instead of allow everyone to use their own PC:s and Laptops. But that way seems to me be a little bit crazy way of use of the LAN ;.(
DreadWingKnight Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 As if doubling up all your traffic by having it go from the internet to the individual machines then from the individual machines to the server is any better.
