utorrent has only ever used 10% of bandwidth ???

please help. i'm decent with computers. i've had a couple diff versions of utorrent. i currently have a 6mb connection. i am only able to dl at 600kb max. what is up with that?? i was told i may have to open another port? i don't know. if anyone can help me i would appreciate it so much!!! i hate to waste the other 5400kbs on nothing...

also, when utorrent is maxing out at 600kb, my internet suffers greatly, and some pages fail to load the first time. very frustrating.

windows 7 (also happened on vista) have tried all diff ul speeds. no change.

You're confusing the units.

Your internet provider gave you information in *bit/sec

uTorrent displays in *byte/sec

stupid internet provider, trying to roll over on people... no one uses the term 'bits'.
