Not connecting to very many seeds AND horrible download speed.

So ive been through the forums, googled the problem, set my firewall access, opened my ports, tested the speeds and they all come out fine. My problem is really that im getting very low speeds with larger files. Such as, im torrenting the entire Star Trek Voyager series and im getting a top speed of 50kbs and connecting to 1 out of 172 seeders. While the availability is up in the 4.999 range, my usual downloads are blazing at a speed of 1.5mbs or more. I dont know what the problem is. Any help?

Connecting to seeds is not required for fast downloads.

What results do you get for a speedtest from speedtest.net (with all torrents stopped)?

There's probably 10+ peers per seed, so everyone runs at roughly their upload speed...if they're lucky AND have their BitTorrent client set correctly. Most don't, all suffer some as a result.
