utorrent down loading intermittently

I have read so many thing s and cant work out this problem, i have also checked settings and I think they are ok. Heres the problem- when I first turn utorrent on it will start downloading and alls good then anywhere from 5 min to 1 hour later it will stop downloading, then if I shut down utorrent for a few min the reopen it starts downloading (also when it stops downloading it says there are no seeders or leechers but once started there are hundreds of seeders and leechers(but can vary)?).

This has been going on now for a few weeks and Im at a loss as to what to do...any help will be great Thank you
