I understand this is a fairly common error, but after days of searching, I still can't fix it!

I just googled that application, and apparently it's actually part of the Parental Controls of the CA Security Suite that's installed on that pc. (This is my family's pc, not mine!)

Virus or not, I'll see if I can get rid of it....

Posted

Yep, many parental filters interfer with µT and the other BT clients. Just disable it or exclude the torrent download folder from its scanning.

Posted

Yes, this does seem to be causing the problem!

The reason I didn't see it until now is that it's not actually listed anywhere in CA Security as an installed component.... It's just... there, running in the background.

And it's proving really hard to remove. Ah, well, I'll keep trying!

Thanks for all the help, everyone!

Like the previous user, the culprit is CA Security Suite and one of its scanning modules.

Enable the option "append .!ut to incomplete files" in µT and exclude this extension in your AV.

If that fails, exclude the torrent download folder.

Well, I finally managed to kill off mdmcls32.exe!

But now the computer won't connect to the internet, just says it can't renew the ip address.

I know this isn't technically a utorrent problem anymore, but if anyone has had a similar problem and solved it, please let me know!
